My name is Steve Mozena, and I have selected you as one of the 100 plus influential people in Los Angeles. In my quest to do the right thing, I am thinking about throwing my cap in to the ring for Mayor of Los Angeles. However, in the meantime, I am seeking advice and support from people who I believe hold power and respect in the community.

Just a quick brief history of who I am: I am a 39 year old male who lives in Venice Beach. In fact, in this past year, I am known by residents and businesses as the man who almost single handedly cleaned up Venice Beach for this past summer. I had the city spend $25,000 to trim the palm trees, have the homeless help clean graffiti, and paint everything from drinking fountains to swing sets. Moreover, I personally bought $300 worth of grass seed for the city to plant. The city failed miserably in this task, and I am currently taking them to small claims court.

It is my belief that we, as citizens of Los Angeles, should hold our city representatives accountable and receive fair and equitable treatment, as well as fair and equitable distribution of resources.

I am a college graduate and have a degree in journalism, minor in business.

Currently, I have a cutting edge academic online publishing business as well. Simply put, I am a Doer. I get things done, even if it involves cutting through the city's bureaucratic red tape.
